Paloma, gas water heater, PH-5-3F?

I have to replace the only 2 electrical wires on the outside/inside, back of tank, they connect to a circut at the top and go up the bottom and attach to a ??? Does it matter which goes where?

Don't worry about it that is a heat senitive fuse. Its reason for being between the electro magnetic cylenouid and the Termalcoupler is in case of a flame out by your burner. If the flame gets dirty and flames out of the body of the Paloma the fuse will melt and in about 15 secounds the termalcoupler will stop making electricity from heat and the system will shut down. In shorter terms the wires are just extensions of a fuse it does'nt matter.

If you have a Paloma PH-5-3F, it shouldn't have any electric wires at all !
