Injector for Cannon Coalridge bf?

The pilot flame on my Cannon Coalridge bf is too weak to fire up the main burner. My gasfitter says the injector is worn and needs replacing but says he can't get the part.

I know this is an old model fire but isn't something like an injector a generic part, or did Cannon use a proprietory fitting on this model? If it is available, what is the part number and where can I get it?

Many thanks.

Adrian, This is very dangerous and, frankly, ridiculous "advice". To disable an FFD is an offence under the GSIUR, and I would endorse a prosecution for this. To answer the original query, the injector IS available, but the pilot burner for the EARLY model, the GC 32 132 58 is NOT. My advice would be to get the GC no off the fire data badge and phone an experienced Gas Safe RGI, give him the details, and allow him to quote. DO NOT listen to Adrian.

I have a similar problem with my Coalridge.. My instinct is to bin it and look for a replacement, my wife disagrees!!..

So, when the weather warms up I'm going to dismantle it and see if I can disable the FFD device... The pilot burner was available a while back as I've already bought one of those (and 2 thermocouples). Now I can't get gas to the pilot.. My advice , if you can fit an alternative is to do so!!
