Sam4s ER 290 Cash Register that just beeps!?

Hi, my Sam4s ER 290 Cash Register has not been used before. When it is switched on and the control key turned the either the reg, x or y position the till just beeps with message on display 'Warning, sequence error'. None of the keys respond. How can I resolve this? Thanks
