How can I fix my samsung mobile model sgh-j700 cell phone?

I need your help, all the function buttons on the top half of the phone have stopped working except the on/off button and I cannot access any functions, I can however make calls using my earphone and I receive calls by sliding the cover upwards

I just had the same problem,it needs a new flexi ribbon,i replaced the one i had and worked perfect,it had the exact same problem,its caused by sliding the phone up and down quickly,it is a main fault on these phones....hope this helps.
