what is worng with my cdr 500?

i have fitted a new battery to my car . now my cdr500 delco has got 7 safe on it and will not let me do any thing

you need to wait with it switched on,each try has a delay before you can try again 7 safe means 7 more goes i think and will probably mean about 30 or 40 mins before it asks you for the code.just be patient.
