How to punch in the code?

I have a 6000 CD RDS EON radio, I have the codes but no manual as the vehicle was sold to me without one.
How do I enter the codes into the radio to unlock it.
The request came from the radio when I took the batery out to charge it

Keep pressing button 1 until the first digit of your code is displayed then the same with button 2 for the second digit of the code and so until the code is diplayed then press button 5 to enter and store the code.
