If it is the spring on the door handle that broke it may easily be replaced from a steel hack saw blade. Simply cut out 2 inches from one end and shape it as per the old one, you do not need to have the curve so pronounced as a strait edge will suffice. The end hole of the blade fits in the handle perfectly,just tighten the screw in place.
