ventilation?

I have an electrolux fridge freezer which seems to be running a lot and making loud noise at times. I was told to drill a hole through the outside wall to let in cold air from outside would this solve the problem.

Nofan in it but noise winds down when you open the door and starts again when you close it. I've taken off the kickboard now so its wide open underneath and no difference.

Check for anything rattling or vibrating against the door or against a fan blade when the door is pushed closed. If it has a fan in the back wall that is. Not sure about this model.

Thanks for that lads i willput vent under plinth. now about the noise, i've just found out that when I open freezer and press the door button the noise stops, any help with that. and thanks againfor the help.

It will certainly solve the problem if you strike a cooling gas pipe while drilling through the wall because then you will be going to buy a new fridge.

no. this will not solve anything.if its built in putting a vent underneath on the plinths will help but only for fully integrated aplliance.
