how can I fix my fuji finepix s1000fd?

The lens on this camera is virtually the same as a small compact cameras lens only a larger size.
The lens tube (the bit that comes out) works on guide pins and grooves and operates the focus at the same time.
Dropping the camera on the lens, especially when switched on, will cause the tube to "de-rail" it's self from the guide grooves and jam up thus failing to operate correctly.
Unfortunately for this camera it does involve a lot of desoldering and disassembly just to get at the lens unit alone. And more desoldering and careful disassembly of the lens unit to correct /inspect the damage
