Putting a scale on a sharp er-a420 cash register?

I have a scale attached to my register in the port. How do I set up a key for that and also to have 2 keys for 2 different tares. I would also like the scale to register w/o tare. I assume that after this is done, that I just need to "enable scale" in the plu's.
