grip the stainless inner drum at 6 o clock position and try lifting it up and down vertically.any movement= knackered bearings.if the bearings are ok you need to check the concrete counterweights are fastened on tightly (on bottom an top of tub).if they are ok then you need to remove the heater and check 2 things.1 is the heater mounting clamp is still fastened inside the tub and 2 is check for bra wires/objects trapped in the drum.if the heater clamp has come out you can normally tell by looking at the end of the heater and it will have wear/rub marks on it.
