Zanussi jetsystem 1600 skip button error?

When a progtamme completes on the zanussi jetsystem 1600 you have to press the skip button before you can select another programme. Occasionally this displays error on the LED and you have to re-run the programme to clear it.

Any ideas?

you have to press the pause button b4 you can press the skip button otherwise err will be displayed as it is in the middle of a previous program
