How do I remove the glove compartment to get to the fuse box on a Ford Focu?

Hi,

My radio has stopped working so I am trying to access the fusebox. The manual says I shpuld 'push in both sides of the glove compartment and swivel it down'. I have tried to push in both sides but it feels like it will break if I push any harder. Do I just continue to push or am I missing something really simple?..
