How do you change the keyless chuck on a dewalt?

My drill chuck on my Dewalt drill (18v) is broken & im trying to replace it but cant figure out how to remove it. Im turning on the bolt that is inside the chuck but the entire chuck moves. Is there any secret on how to remove it?

get a big bent allan key tighten it in the chuck. hit the allan key with a hammer anti-clockwise it may take quite a few hits and quite hard but as long as the screw is removed from inside this should work any problems post it on here!

I also have a problem with my DeWalt 18v DC 925-XE. I think that the adaptor that screws the chuck into the drill is bent. (It is a Rohm, steel chuck with terrific holding strength.) If I open the chuck fully there is no screw at the bottom, just a flat surface. There are also no flats, for a spanner in between the chuck and the drill.
Normally I would expect the chuck to be removed as Steve has suggested but this is different.

hi, open the chuck as wide as it will open, look inside & at the bottom of the chuck willbe a screw (pozidrive)with lefthand thread, remove this then if you look below the chuck there should be two pararell flats for a thin spanner, fit spanner to this then you have to snatch the chuck with the spanner tobreak it's seal & then unscrew
