How do you adjust the timing on a Tigra?

My mate has a S plate tigra 1.4 16v, which had the problem of the belt tensioner collapsing and throwing the belt. Hoping that the valves havent shattered he changed the timing belt and pulleys. It is now running but is quite lumpy, he needs to know how to adjust the timing and I am also wondering if anyone else has had similar problems

i agree 95% of 16v vauxhalls bend the valves... if not all of them get a compression test done first to see if your low on compression

I HAVE NEVER KNOWN A PULL GO AND NOT BENDING VALVES. I HAVE REPAIRED 3 IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS AND JUST ABOUT TO DO ANOTHER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOURS.
