Peugeot 106 xsi....high pitched sound from left side front?

after mega snow fall and frost my car is making a high pitched noise when idle or driving, seems to be coming from passenger side front, maybe the fuse box

any ideas????

Paul, if it is making the noise when standing idle it won't be a wheel bearing.

It could be a number of things such as a wheel bearing, CV joint, bearing or brakes, try getting the car moving about 30 - 40mph knock the gear into neutral, if it has a sound all of the time it's a bearing , if it is intermittent it could well be your brakes.

Does the noise disappear when you depress the clutch? If so suspect the clutch release bearing.
