colly,there are so many reasons why here are a few the easy ones first; airfilter could be blocked,fuelfilter could be blocked
fuel line could be restricted,the airfuel mixture valve could be blocked[the lambarder valve],the timming could be out,the injectors could be faulty need i go on?here is a tip on my mondeo i had a similar problem the car would rev ok but not accelerate very good the problem i found was a resticted fuel line at the fuel pick up at the fuel tank,to get at that you remove the back seatbase there is a rubber bung there remove the bung this will give you acess to the fuelgauge and pick up pipes witch if traced lead to the fuelpump take off the feed pipe at both ends[fueltank and the fuelpump] and blow the pipe clear replace pipes[only take 1 pipe off at atime]
as you might put them back in the wrong positions
