Boiler has locked down - can I fix it myself?

My Potterton Powermax HE boiler has gone into lock down and nothing I do seems to be helping (I have bled all the radiators and tried several times to increase the water pressure by turning the valve handles to the inline position in order to admit water but the gauge reading doesn't change. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

is the analog gauge showing a reading and the digital display not,,, if so the water pressure sensor has failed,, simple to replace follow instructions in manual... do not release pressure in boiler via PRV pressure relief valve they never seal again

what ever, January 2010
are you reading from the digital pressure read out or the manual one attached to the pipe?
