The same is happening with me, i live in Pakistan and i cant imagine my straightner touching 8 degree C in summers, i wish and hope it get fixed after heating up

they could be stuck in shiver mode,if they have been subjected to a temp less than 8 degc they enter this mode to prevent damage through condensation
Try warming them up with a hair dryer

this is exactly the same of my problem..it is bleeping non stop and it wont heat up
