Tape door stuck?

Jan 2010 I have a Aiwa NSX-T7 with left hand tape door stuck with a tape in. Can anyone tell me what to do?

1. Unplug the equipment
2. Remove the cover.
3. manually turn the cassette motor until the release clicks.
4. Open the cassette door and remove the cassette.
