my pcb was arcing and packed up ,i got a new one but it looks nothing like the old one due to technology .the problem is the new one asks to put in a link im a bit dubious though ,i fired it up but it fails to ignite.has anyone had similar problems

I changed the board because it burned out(sounds like an inherant fault) replaced with new mod, added link,works fine.

Can't really help but I'm awaiting a50FF board. The common faukt with these boards was a burned out resistor in the centre of the board, a common fault and normally it solved the problem. The board I have though has a large burn at the front right side adjacent with the 5 pole connector an seems to be the blue wire connection to the fan. Just hope there is nothing wrong with fan that has blown the board. Fan motor resistance seems OK though. Does your old board show any signs of burning?
