Worcester 28i Junior - same problem with a twist!?

Hi, I have been having the same boiler problem. Red reset light, flashing blue light every 2 / 3 seconds. I have followed all the advice including fully de-attaching the condenser pipe, reseting, turning off at the wall etc with no lulck. I have Central Heating Insurance cover with BG but they cant come out Tuesday week (8 days).

Anyway, a couple of questions. Where the condenser pipe comes out (when removing this there was no water to come out btw) there is another screw cap attached to the same platstic container that collects the water. When I removed this a lot of water came out. It was quite mirky, alomst black with lots of sand in it. Is this another hole from the same unit?

Secondly If I hot the reset button, it goes out while it resets and then I hold the reset button down while it is not lit, the boiler fan seems to kick in and it makes all the noises I would normally expect it to make. But the reset light comes back on. Anyone know what I am doing by doing that?

Any help would be appreciated.
