The Thermister is not a valve, it is a sensor on the pipe, coming out of the top of the boiler . Should be a push fit. Could also be
an overheat stat. Must be a reason for a boiler to do this.

thermistors are sensors, and it's possible that they could be at fault. around £30 for these boilers
