When it gets to the spin on any cycle the dial simply clicks round to each setting and the drum just stops. THe water doesn't drain.

Great - that did the trick!

For anyone else stuck with this problem, the circular bit you need to take off is on the right hand side on the bottom at the front.

You first need to disconnect the electrics, (easily done, it pulls out) and then you need a star shaped screw-driver head to take the three screws out

Easy - it is blocked. U need to tip it backwards, unscrew the circular but on the bottom front of the mahine (it will leak so do so slowlyt and have a bucket to hand). Then pull the "screw" out and clean it/inside the hole. You may find a coin or something.
