how to fix a whirlpool calypso washer getting stuck on the spin cycle?

I have a whirlpool calypso washer that I purchased in 2001. It keeps getting stuck on the spin cycle. Sometimes the code FL comes up, but there is only a small load in it. What can I do to fix it.
