Loop the chain over the sprocket, lay the drive links into the bar rails, on the top of the bar the cutting edge of the chains cutters should face away from the saw, on the bottom of the bar the cutters should face toward the saw.Not trying to be funny but I think you should book youself onto a basic chainsaw use and maintenace course.
