my ford fiesta 2000 boot lock feels like its about to break?

when i turn my key in the boot lock it turns right round befor it unlocks, im sure it did not turn that far befor? is there anything i can do to tighten it up? or is this just normal on old fiestas

It's gunged up,give it a good spray with WD40 with a tube on in the lock hole and turn it a few times.
