What purpose does it serve.
I keep getting it caught on ramps,sleeping police etc & it is now distorted & when refixed with ad hoc bolts etc it still rattles.
Is it stopping the car getting hot from the silencer ?
Is it protceting the underside from rust.
Is it protecting fuel & cables from damage ?
Can I live without it & what would be the risks
