Seem to recall that both C and E class cars have immobiliser that works with remote locking with green and red lights set in rear view mirror. Is this working correctly?
Also have come across problems with HT leads shorting out - look for burn marks on spark plugs and leads and replace as required .
Can fuel be seen on spark plugs following the engine being turned over? If not may be a fuel issue.
