how do i open my renault laguna bonnet when the release catch is stretched or broken?

The access is from below.
Long arms, a good eye and some form of lever is required.
Once released make sure the cable is replaced and the clips well greased.
It's not an action you want to repeat un-neccesarily(been there-got the T shirt)
