What model no is my Thorn EMI Apollo boiler?

I am trying to locate the model no. of my Thorn EMI Apollo boiler to ascertain if it qualifies for the Boiler Scrappage scheme. I have looked on the outside, underneath and taken the bottom cover off and can't find it. Can anyone advise please? Thanks

data badge is under front decorative cover. slide off the brown bottom panel by pulling it towards you. you will then be able to see a screw in the middle of the casing where you removed the bottom panel. loosen the scrw then pull the casing upwards and towards yourself, the badge will be right on the front of the combustion cover.
best to turn the power off and let the boiler cool before attempting.

Thats great, thanks very much Peccavi, that'll be why I couldn't find contact details for Thorn! I'll contact Baxi and hopefully they'll be able to tell me the model no. Cheers.

I don't know this boiler - in fact I only know my own boiler here at home. I find it very strange, as you must, that the boiler refuses to identify itself. I think Thorn EMI became part of the Baxi group - you might give them a call.

Myson bought Thorn EMI Heating in January 1986
Blue Circle acquired Myson in 1990
Baxi bought Blue Circle's heating division in 2000

Thanks Peccavi. I found the list of Apollo models on the homeheating website before posting my question - my problem is I can't find where the model number is on my boiler. I can't find a Gas Council Number on it either. Any ideas where I would find the model no actually on the boiler? Thanks

nearly 70 different Apollo models - some qualify and some don't

There's a 7 digit Gas Council Number for all UK boilers - you may see it on the case or a sticker somewhere - There are 12 Apollo models that qualify for the scheme and their numbers are...
