Recently I installed Windows XP Professional on Dell Inspiron 1521.Now the Battery /Power icon in sys tray is always showing "On AC Power".
When I unplug the charger, the icon does not change and shows "ON AC Power".
Only when the battery is down ,the LED of battery goes red blinking.On connecting Charger , the LED goes off, but battery icon does not change.

Also the lid on/off option are not available.

I did reboot system, in bios settings, there battery is present, its status, etc. then I restarted for Windows XP.But battery icon problem was there.

Please help !
