Push and pull very difficult on Oreck XL?

I have an Oreck XL that is very difficult to push and pull. I changed the vacuum bag, the belt and the roller and nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a solution as well. I have two Orecks that are the same way but nobody seems to know the remedy!!!!

I have the same problem, the brush is supposed to be self adjusting and I don't think it's ever worked, must be stuck on the "floor" height. Does anyone know how to adjust it manually? Pushing this vacuum is like pushing something with the brakes on!
