My shower stopped mid shower this morning and I noticed water gushing out behind it. On closer inspection there is a transparent outlet pipe behind the actual hose from which water was pouring. Does anyone know what this is, why it is occuring and what I can do to stop it?

prd has failed needs replacing.
check the showerhead for blockages and restriction of water flow also the hose.

you must repair cause before replacing the prd.
