My astra diesel 2.0l estate mk 4 will not start due to an electrical problem. A while ago the instrument panel lights stopped working, now it will not start and although I get the ignition lights, when I try to start it everything goes dead. Battery is fine so not a flat battery. Any help welcome.

have you tried checking the earth wires on the engine a manual should explain where they are
