How can I fix my Ford Mondeo ghia X V6 rear windows?

The rear windows in my ford mondeo do not open and close using the switches on the back doors, but they will if I use the master switch on the front door. Also, the illumination on the switches on the back door do not work.

What could the problem be and how would I fix it?

Don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but...... check on your 'master switch' (driver's door), there should be a small switch underneath the window switches that slides from left to right. This 'switch' cuts power (and illumination) to the rear windows. Try doing this when it's dark so that when you move the switch you should find that the rear window switches illuminate and hence give power to rear occupants. Ford designed it like this to prevent children messing about with the rear windows!! Good luck and let us know how you get on!! All the best, Martin.
