i have 3 md player/recorders(mz-n505,mz-s1 and 1 other i cant locate at the moment).none of them will save the music i record.in addition, it also erases any music previously recorded onto the disk.what can i do? i would like to repair them if it is cheaper than buying new units.

your problem is same as my sony md.My unit was send to sony for repair but the technician told me that they will replace the whole module the problem is the cost of replacement is like buying a new md.So,I decided to full out my unit. when I was in home I try to fix and check inside and I found a very thin wire was broken I try to fix the said wire and now my md is working very fine.

Had the same problem like yours. Found out if the unit gets near anything slightly magnetic will erase everything.
