Replace the battery on Navman S50?

Hi . Anyone know how to get access to the battery on a Navman S50? It needs replacing as it doesn't hold a charge for very long, even when charging in the car. Thanks.

A Navman S70 is virtually the same as a S50.
Take out the 2 screws at the bottom - you will need a very small headed crosshead screwdriver for this. Remove the 2 curved side panels by gently prising them out from the bottom with a flat head screwdiver - there are 4 fixing points that have to unclick to do this per side. Remove the 4 exposed screws with same xhead driver.
Remove back, remove tape holding battery connections and remove battery plug. Gently prise off battery - it is glued on - replace battery. Refit parts in reverse order.

yes we have a navman s50 and our battery not holding its charge so what you have to do is undo the 2 screws down the bottom then take the 2 ends off and then undo the 4 screws to get to the battery we have done that now we need to replace it

Hi Mark and many thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Only just picked it up as I had nearly given up! Will give it a go. Cheers.

Take out the 2 screws in the bottom panel. Prise off the 2 side curved panels. Remove the 4 screws in the rear panel exposed when the sides come off and prise of the back panel to open up the unit. Be careful of the wires attached to the speaker.
