how can i stop my paragon plus from going off when it is activated?

i have a paragon plus alarm system which was fitted in my house in 1995, over the last few weeks it keeps going off when actived after a hour or so of me going out, please can you suggest what we should do or try to fix the problem?

Modern sensors should have 6 wires.
The only 2-wire sensors I can think of are some B&Q types which are dedicated to their systems.

I guess the fault will be a damaged wire or faulty sensor.
Can you omit each zone and set the system and see if you can find the problem that way?
Once you can identify which zone is giving the problem, you're halfway to finding the problem!
There is a "log" facility on the Paragon panel. Can you check the history to find which zone is triggering?

the actual alarm keeps going off, on its own. as if something or someone has triggered it. but we dont know what, we thought it may be a sensor but the ones these day come with two wires and my one has 6 wires so we cannot replace it.

Tell us what is 'going off', that would go a long way to getting advise.
