potterton netaheat 50e will not fire up?

Can any one advise me my potterton netaheat50e has an internittent problem which is getting worse. When switched on the fan comes on and the pilot light fire's up but the main burner does not light. The fan continues to run until i shut it down and restart. This is worse when using the heating.

This happened to my potterton boiler - not a neataheat - the fault turned out to be a partially blocked pliot injector producing a weak flame. Not enough heat to trigger the control board to open the main gas valve. My engineer replaced the injector. Have it serviced.

Your fault may be different - control board or main gas valve - pilot injector is much cheaper though.

Good luck...
