How can i stop my belling XOU60FP fan assisted oven overheating?

My 13 month old Belling built in fan assisted oven is overheating. I am assuming the thermostat has gone as it heats up but is not regulating its heat. A Belling repair will cost 2/3rds the price of a new oven. Any ideas on how to repair it more cheaply?
