After contacting Kenwood, who offered to send a repair person at the cost of £139, I decided to look into this problem myself. and I'm glad that I did.
The fault was found to be:- the Door Lock Hook Had become loose and was not locating in the door switch sufficiently to make good contact. In all, the repair took 10 minutes to repair. Well worth looking at myself.
