I "bled" my rads, pressure on boiler dropped to 0, so topped up, ?

but have inadvertently topped up too much, how do I release pressure and set boiler to accpetabe level

Put a bowl under one of youre rad valves loosen nut on valve and drain off excess water, if you take too much out top up pressure to required level. Or put bowl under radiator and drain water through the bleed valve until you get to right pressure

I had done the same thing recently and I phoned my boiler installer who suggested I drain some water from either a rad or a drain off point if i had one.
I was lucky as I had a open end with a isolating valve connected so I opened this and ran some water off until the pressure dropped.
Hope this helps
