lost the use of phone?

my amstrad e-mailer won't work, it says HOLD DOWN(E-MAIL) BOTTON TO RESTORE. But when we did this it went to e-mail page and then went back to HOLD DOWN (E-MAIL) BUTTON TO RESTORE. Now the phone won't work and we've lost all the addresses and telephone numbers in the phone and can't retrieve them. Can anyone help?
