VW Golf Sunroof problem?

Hi
When open my sunroof slightly or on tilt its fine.
When I try to close it, it just carries on until
its fully open and then I have to manually close it which it not easy. Especially when it rains - as it can suddenly with our lovely weather!
Any Ideas?
