How can i fix my Diplomat HJA8640?

The lights come on but nothing happens when you press the start button

Try switching it off then switch on pressing the start/stop button at the same time. Keep both buttons pressed down until all the temperature lights flash then release both buttons after a couple of seconds. Then switch off, leave a couple of seconds, then switch on normally. Hope this works for you.
