I live in the Northern suburbs Western Cape and would like to know where I could have my machine serviced or find spare parts. I think I need to replace my Needle retainer as the carraige jams and does not want to move at all when I put on my ribber arm. It might be another problem as I have not used it for many years and would like to put it into action again. I don't seem to find any phone number of Empisal in the phone book.

I need a needle retainer dont know where to get spare parts in this country. have heard that MAYBE Tedelex are the empisal agents but have not phoned to find out if they have knitting machine parts

Hi Astrid,
Your problem is probably caused by the old sponge bar.
If you have difficulty buying a replacement, there is a series of tutorials on the knittsings website on how to refurbish your old one.
Hope you find what you are looking for.
