Basic service,remove the muffler and check the condition of the piston through the exhaust port, any damage here the engine will have to come apart, replace spark plug,check for good spark, clean/replace air filter,drain the fuel and wash out the tank, replace fuel filter in the tank, remove the carb, replace the internal screen and diaphrams, check correct orientation of the gaskets and diaphrams ( pump side diaphram first gasket on top, metering side gasket first diaphram on top ) if you have a pressure tester check carb and fuel hose for leaks
