The screen is fine when not slid up but when i slide it crashes?

When i turn my samsung d500 on it is fine but when i slide the screen up it freezes and goes white but the buttons still work?

the LCD screen has scrambled and needs to be replaced costs between £30 & £60 plenty of repair sites on internet (mine did same thing)
