My watch willl not get the date?

I Have a Crane and Viceroy radio controlled watch which I recently replaced the battery in. I followed the intructions given, to the letter, even carrying out the reset procedure. All appeared to go well, it recieved the correct time but after 4 days it still hasn't recieved the date. Any ideas?
